Andrew L. Watson

Andrew L. Watson is a partner in the Employment and Labor and Commercial Law and Litigation departments. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Union labor, employee benefit funds, administrative law, statutory and regulatory compliance and complex civil litigation and appeals, with particular emphasis on representation of building trades and public employee unions, and public agencies and entities.  Several of Mr. Watson's cases have resulted in reported opinions, including a First Amendment Right of Free Speech case unanimously decided by the New Jersey Supreme Court in favor of his client, New Jersey Assemblyman and IBEW Local 269 Business Agent Wayne DeAngelo.

Mr. Watson was born and raised in Edina, MN.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to law school, Mr. Watson served as a legislative aide to Senate Majority Leader Roger Moe of the Minnesota State Legislature. After graduating with honors from Rutgers Law School in Camden, NJ, he clerked in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, for the Honorable Steven L. Lefelt, J.A.D. (retired).  Mr. Watson then joined PR&A, where he has practiced law for his entire career.

Mr. Watson is an adjunct professor at the Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations.  He is a member of both the New Jersey and local bar associations and Trustee Emeritus and past President of the Princeton Bar Association. He currently serves as Chairman of the Bordentown Township Fire District #2 Board of Commissioners and has previously served as Chair of a local zoning Board.  Mr. Watson also volunteers as a coach for the Lawrence Flames Hockey Association.
