Join us in supporting the Hamilton YMCA’s S.K.O.R. (Special Kids Organized Recreation) program at the “Special Night for Special Kids” event.

Please come out and join us on September 15th at the Sawmill YMCA from 6 – 9 pm for a most worthwhile event.  The Hamilton YMCA’s S.K.O.R. (Special Kids Organized Recreation) program is hosting their “Special Night for Special Kids” event.

Local restaurants will be serving their specialty dishes; there will be a variety of wines and beers for tasting, and also a silent auction.

The tickets are $60 in advance and $75 after September 12th.  Opportunities still exist for silent auction donations and event sponsorships.

Please help us support S.K.O.R. – a program that has special meaning to us as it was founded in 1999 by one of our managing partners, Tom Smith.  Tom, the parent of a child with Down’s Syndrome, wanted his son to have the same opportunities for athletic and social experiences as other children have and was instrumental in launching the program.

Since its inception, S.K.O.R. has grown to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in recreational and social activities year-round.  The program strives to increase appropriate social peer interaction, builds self-esteem, promotes physical fitness and teamwork, and teaches the importance of respect.

For tickets, sponsorship opportunities, or just more information, please contact Barbara Hoglen at 609-581-9622 ext 107 or bhoglen@hamiltonymca.org.

The funds raised in this event will provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in expanded programs that they would otherwise not be able to afford.

Thank you and we hope to see you there!
