Ms. Keephart practices exclusively in the area of family law, with special emphasis on child custody matters for married and unwed individuals, preparation of premarital agreements, highly contested matrimonial cases involving multimillion-dollar assets, domestic violence matters and same sex partner disputes.
A skilled trial attorney, Ms. Keephart also embraces mediation as an alternative dispute resolution method. She serves as a Mediator in the Superior Court of New Jersey and privately.
Ms. Keephart received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Trenton State College, her Master’s degree from Rider University, and her Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. She joined the firm after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Maria Marinari Sypek, J.S.C. and an internship with Federal Judge Clarkson Fischer. Ms. Keephart graduated from the Harvard Law School Mediation Training program as well as the Rutgers Law School Divorce Mediation program.
She also completed an International Law program in Florence, Italy through the Dickinson Law School.
The New Jersey Supreme Court appointed Keephart to the Committee for the Unauthorized Practice of Law. She has served on the Advisory Board for several banks and has been a member of both the Executive Board and Foundation at the former Saint Lawrence Rehabilitation Center/Morris Hall. Ms. Keephart has been the Attorney Coach for The Lawrenceville School Mock Trial Team for the past 15 years and continues to serve as a Judge for Inter Collegiate Mock Trial competitions at Yale, Georgetown, Princeton and other participating universities.
Ms. Keephart is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Colorado; she is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court in the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the American, New Jersey, Mercer County, Princeton and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
