Gary E. Adams, a member of PR&A’s Workers’ Compensation Department, recently testified before the New Jersey State Senate Labor Committee in support of an amendment to the New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Act. This amendment, if passed, will significantly increase the amounts payable to injured workers for damage to their hands or feet due to work-connected injuries.
“Awards for serious hand and foot injuries under the current law are simply inadequate,” according to Adams.
The proposed amendment was unanimously approved by the Senate Labor Committee. It now proceeds to the Senate for consideration.
