BIOGRAPHY

Elyse Herman is an associate in the Estates & Trusts and Commercial Law & Litigation departments.
I am a smart, well-informed attorney and have diverse litigation experience with an emphasis on partition and estate disputes. 

Elyse C. Herman

She concentrates her practice in the area of general non-personal injury civil litigation (including appeals), with an emphasis on estates & trusts litigation, partition actions, real estate litigation, contract and complex commercial disputes and employment & labor law. Ms. Herman has extensive experience in both the Chancery and Law Divisions of the Superior Court of New Jersey.

She is a graduate of Rutgers College and the School of Business with a B.S. in accounting. Ms. Herman received her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law with a Tax Honors Certificate. She served as judicial clerk to the Hon. Andrew Smithson, J.S.C. Mercer County. 

Ms. Herman has authored numerous articles, including “What Happens When a Will is Made in New Jersey Before a Person Gets Married and is Never Changed”; “Partition—When a Co-Owner of Real Estate Refuses to Sell”; “Contesting a Will—Protect Your Parents From Undue Influence”; “Foreclosures Deficiencies and The Entire Controversy Doctrine”, (Co-Author), New Jersey Law Journal.

She is a member of the Mercer County and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
